I haven't been online much. tonight we're heading to shakespeare in the park. i think. should be fun.. hope you're enjoying the summer.
it's late sunday night. i'm watching the celtics crush the lakers. actually i don't know which is which right now. then a couple of people and i will guiltlessly indulge ourselves in mindless entertainment.

nyc is melting in our first heat wave. this morning i went out for a run and nearly suffocated.
all my trips for the summer have been cancelled. we were planning on going to china and other places but that's off. instead i'm putting my efforts here.
preview new paintings at the gallery on wooster st. until the end of june. no art will be listed online until the fall exhibits.
well i feel better today. now we're off to defeating the man of perpetual war.
american history was made last night. here's a video in case you missed it:
hillary clinton has also made history as the first viable female [deranged narcissistic] candidate to run for president. her speech fell short of conceding. hillary will be hillary.
did i mention that karl rove is officially an advisor to John McCain? why isn't karl rove in jail?
racism exists. there are many that will not vote for obama simply because he's bi-racial.
the superintendant of the building i grew up in the 1980's was a racist. she was an irish older woman named Marie. the day i discovered marie was a racist was when my friend and i were grabbing the elevator and she stepped out and looked at my friend who had just gotten a jerry curl perm in horror: "you look like a nigger."
my friend with a german/irish background normally has chinese straight black hair. and sadly she never got another perm. marie got a mouth beating from our parents however. sad marie was taken to an adult care home before we moved out where she passed on. rip marie.
later in life i would be verbally assaulted by another older white woman on the multi-cultural streets of nyc just for walking with a black guy. those were my teenage years. times have changed since but the darkness still exists.
i'm watching the AIPAC conference and obama is about to speak so have to go now. the next post i'll have some new art for you :)
no sugar-coating.. clinton is still in this race for selfish, self-serving reasons. anyone who can do simple arithmetic knows she lost.
hillary's biggest argument is that she has a better chance at beating mccain in november, well she couldn't even beat a 'rookie' senator. so i guess that's a bit flawed.
and at the expense of sounding like a left-wing liberal fanatic activist.. Write or call DNC Chairman Dean. Tuesday will mark the end of the primary race for the Democrats. Yet Clinton is showing no backing down (but let's pray) although Obama leads her in every race. She is using her own math to calculate the popular vote and divide the party.

here's a copy of mine:
Dear Chairman Dean-
I wanted to take a minute to express my distaste for Senator Hillary Clinton's campaign tactics.
Throughout this campaign, Senator Clinton has used every means possible to undermine the massive grassroots movement behind Senator Barack Obama. The latest being her interpretation of the popular vote.
Senator Obama has run a dignified, competent and highly successful primary campaign and although he could have played the same old political game (and he would have had much more ammunition) to compete against Hillary, he has instead compromised over and over again. An example: the RBC would have voted to accept the proposed 50/50 split in Michigan, however Obama compromised to give Clinton more than 50% of the delegates in that tainted election.
Senator Clinton's rogue comments are unacceptably divisive. I am asking that you and the DNC step in to end this nomination process so that we may begin healing and take our fight to McCain and the Republicans.
Sincerely,
Lemya el Sophia
from the comments i receive on this blog many of you support obama, some hate me for loving him.. misogynists, racists, but mostly we all want to rebuild this country after 7+ years of distruction.
