not much to report. enjoying the autumn weather in local parks. hosting parties. and writing potentially brilliant punditry.. a silent battle with the republican right-wing extremist enigma. sacrificed to a political guru. placed at their pagan alters set up in front of their mirrors.

just a question. yes politics.

if w. was chosen over mccain in 2000, why on earth would anyone vote for mccain now? considering the better candidate was the rnc pick then.
incompetent palin denigrates the ticket even further.

McCain/Palin are the dynamic duo of absurdity. Truth is that McCain represents an America which is almost extinct. There is a new generation of Americans working diligently to salvage this country. It will be a new kind of government. better.

pantyhose politics

we're having a debate party tonight. mine is private but there are public ones set up. check the obama website for one in your area.

palin- unqualified, we know. however this very obviously surpasses the danger zone of ineptness:

This is a direct excerpt from Katie Couric’s One-On-One interview with Sarah Palin, which aired Wednesday on CBS.

COURIC: Why isn’t it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries? … Instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?

PALIN: Ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy– Oh, it’s got to be about job creation too. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions.

considering a possible vp of the usa hadn't gotten a passport until 2007- well into her 40's- i wanted to touch on the impertinence of not having foreign relations knowledge.

israel feb - mar 2008

golan heights: while there took a 6 hour ride to golan heights (syrian, occupied territory). never before seen pictures of this area. it's completely isolated amidst high mountains. on the border a fence separates the nations. UN signs hang warning: 'keep back 15 kilometers united nations regulations' in hebrew, arabic and english.

residents of golan heights although offered israeli citizenship, have refused.

lebanese border: on the ride back briefly stopped by qiryat shemona. 30 minutes later hezbollah launches missles striking a mall parking lot and injuring 6 people. perhaps more.

western jerusalem, a couple of weeks later: the previous day had rained. while collecting material for my recent art project, i came across a poster on a brick wall. it was peeling perfectly when a voice of a man behind me interrupts, lama! lama! (hebrew why! why!). not turning around i walk away. when i get to the car i'm told that was a funeral announcement. glad i left it.

2 days later an israeli gunman walks into that same building and opens fire on the seminary students while observing evening prayer. many die.

the idf by dawn had collapsed the gunman's family home to the ground. nobody was home.

by osmosis: national security experience

you know, it's sunday evening. i'm getting ready to go out for dinner. and genuinely wasn't planning on blogging about palin since her genitalia is identical to hillary clinton's, figured i was expected to unite behind the he/she ultra-conservative machine being that i, too, am woman.

but as i was skimming through news online, i came across this week's george stephanopoulos interview with potential first lady cindy mccain. sarah palin has national security experience b/c alaska is in close proximity to russia:

pontificating

thought i'd write about some politics since it's been a while.

nader: makes a living out of running. as his 2nd job. he doesn't campaign, he just runs.

obama: why is the bush admin adopting barack's ideas? for example: iraqi withdrawal timetable? wasn't bush staunchly against one when asked a few months ago?

mccain: if you liked the past 8 years of bush policies, if you agree with republican civil, economic, international, etc. policies.. if woman rights are of little importance to you- we see mrs. obama everywhere, but where's mccain's wife? oh then there's that minor incident of him calling his wife the 'c' word. apparently the term is solidly ingrained in his regular vocabulary.. enough to blurt it out in a radio interview. classic right-wing hypocrisy: therealmccain.com

we have visitors. so staying in jersey until the end of the month with family, where i'll be force-fed breakfast and pontifications.

just wrapped up some projects with a design firm here and in d.c. we've been working all summer on them and they are spectacular. this website is being updated and many more installation photos will be available.

some updates

we're kicking off the art raw project here in the city early next year. not sure where it's going but i'm leaving that up to josh the anti-elitist

have some new short films which will screen in september just as soon as i stop using the soho wooster st place as a storage.

and art. i have about 25 new mixed media paintings being resin-ated (is that even a word?) and moved to chelsea for an exhibit this fall. these will be the last paintings for the year. i hate to say it but i desparately need a break. had one mini vacation to dallas. can i stop working?

speaking of breaks-- i'm taking time off to work on films 'til the end of the year. but i just mentioned that. hmm.. haven't slept much in the past few days.

going to get some shut eye before my 10pm pick-up. later.

one historic journey

well i feel better today. now we're off to defeating the man of perpetual war.

american history was made last night. here's a video in case you missed it:

hillary clinton has also made history as the first viable female [deranged narcissistic] candidate to run for president. her speech fell short of conceding. hillary will be hillary.

did i mention that karl rove is officially an advisor to John McCain? why isn't karl rove in jail?

racism exists. there are many that will not vote for obama simply because he's bi-racial.

the superintendant of the building i grew up in the 1980's was a racist. she was an irish older woman named Marie. the day i discovered marie was a racist was when my friend and i were grabbing the elevator and she stepped out and looked at my friend who had just gotten a jerry curl perm in horror: "you look like a nigger."

my friend with a german/irish background normally has chinese straight black hair. and sadly she never got another perm. marie got a mouth beating from our parents however. sad marie was taken to an adult care home before we moved out where she passed on. rip marie.

later in life i would be verbally assaulted by another older white woman on the multi-cultural streets of nyc just for walking with a black guy. those were my teenage years. times have changed since but the darkness still exists.

i'm watching the AIPAC conference and obama is about to speak so have to go now. the next post i'll have some new art for you :)
